VENUE
The Jožef Stefan Institute is partner of the both BIOREM and BIOSYSMO European projects.
JSI is the leading Slovenian scientific research institute, covering a broad spectrum of basic and applied research.
Visit JSI Environment Sciences Department.
JSI has two centres in Ljubljana: in the city centre and on the outskirts. The event will be held at the Reactor center Podgorica (Brinje, 40). The Reactor centre near Ljubljana was built in 1966. Knowledge in the fields of nuclear science and technology was very useful for the construction and operation of Slovenia’s first nuclear power plant, in Krško, and subsequently for conducting radiation measurements, safety analysis, and the training of nuclear experts.
Ljubljana is Slovenia’s capital and the largest city of the country. With 293,000 population is one of the smallest European capitals. It’s never crowded – but also never boring. 50,000 university students give it its youthful appeal, and as an economic and cultural hub of Slovenia, it has a lot to offer to locals and visitors alike.
