Throughout Europe
Each biosystem developed in the project is oriented to target a specific pollution problem that needs a tailored-made approach. Several pollution sites have been selected so they are diverse in nature and representative of common and relevant pollution problems throughout Europe. More than 10 sites in France, Spain, Portugal and Belgium will be studied where the BIOSYSMO approaches will be applied.
Additionally, the computationally-based pipeline developed under BIOSYSMO is expected to be applicable for other pollutants susceptible to be biologically degraded, making the approach replicable in other situations.
