The 3rd European Mission Soil Week will take place on 5–6 November 2025 at Aarhus University in Denmark, bringing together leading voices in soil science, environmental policy, agriculture, and sustainable innovation. This annual event serves as one of Europe’s most important platforms for discussing the future of soil health, recognised as a critical resource for food production, biodiversity, climate resilience, and ecosystem stability.
Throughout the two-day programme, participants will explore the latest research, policy developments, and technological solutions aimed at protecting, restoring, and monitoring soils across Europe. From regenerative agriculture and land management strategies to novel remediation techniques, the event highlights the growing urgency and collective responsibility to safeguard the foundation of life on Earth.
As part of this effort, BIOSYSMO is proud to contribute to the EU Soil Mission through its work on microbial-based solutions for soil bioremediation. The project focuses on transforming contaminated or degraded sites into fertile, productive environments using advanced microbiome engineering and nature-based approaches. By supporting soil regeneration and reducing pollution, BIOSYSMO directly aligns with the Mission’s goal of achieving healthy soils by 2030.
