The BIOSYSMO Project team is gearing up to participate in BioRemid 2026 – the 4th International Meeting on New Strategies in Bioremediation and Restoration Processes, where experts from around the world will gather to discuss the latest scientific and technological advances in soil and groundwater remediation. The conference will highlight pioneering strategies and multidisciplinary approaches that are transforming the field of environmental restoration.
This year, BioRemid 2026 features a dynamic two-track scientific program, covering nine key topics across two broad thematic areas:
Hall 1 – Soils, Health & Full-Scale Delivery
Hall 2 – Biotechnology for Emerging Contaminants
The program reflects the latest research and practical solutions addressing contemporary and emerging environmental challenges. Discussions will include health-linked pollution pathways, nature-based remediation systems, bio-innovations for plastics and sediments, and the role of data-driven approaches for sustainable environmental management.
A full overview of the conference topics can be found here: BioRemid 2026 Agenda.
As part of the event, BIOSYSMO Project is proud to present Alfredo Perez de Mora, remediation expert at TAUW GmbH, as a plenary speaker. Alfredo, a key partner of the BIOSYSMO consortium, brings extensive international experience in managing complex contaminated sites and implementing sustainable remediation strategies. His insights will provide attendees with valuable real-world perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in large-scale bioremediation projects.
BioRemid 2026 represents a unique opportunity for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to connect, share knowledge, and explore innovative, sustainable solutions for restoring soils, sediments, and groundwater. The BIOSYSMO team looks forward to engaging with the international community and contributing to discussions that will help shape the future of environmental remediation.
