We’re glad to share that BIOSYSMO and the ALL4BIOREM cluster will be participating in the 9th European Bioremediation Conference (EBC-IX), taking place this June in Chania, Greece.
As part of the conference, the EU Bioremediation Cluster will be hosting a dedicated special session titled:
“The Contribution of Environmental Bioremediation to the Clean Industrial Deal in Europe”

This session will highlight how environmental bioremediation is contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable industrial landscape in Europe. As the EU pushes forward with green and circular economy goals, bioremediation has emerged as a key technology to help address pollution and restore ecosystems.
During the session, ten innovative EU-funded projects — including BIOSYSMO — will be featured. Each of these projects is tackling different aspects of bioremediation, from microbial technologies and soil cleanup to sustainable applications in industrial contexts.
The session will also include a panel discussion with experts from across the field. It will be a space for open dialogue about the challenges and opportunities in bioremediation, as well as the role of collaborative research in shaping Europe’s environmental strategies.
Α meaningful opportunity to exchange knowledge, connect with the wider research community, and showcase the work being done across Europe to advance bioremediation practices.
